Design Committee Info & Documents
The Royal Kunia Design Committee has established a procedure for reviewing Property Improvement Applications. The committee meets once a month to review applications. Applications will be accepted at Hawaiiana Management up until 12:00 noon of the last working day of the month, then forwarded to the Design Committee. Applications received prior to the last working day of the month will be held at Hawaiiana Management until the last working day. The Design Committee's 30 day review period begins when the applications are received by the Design Committee, not Hawaiiana Management.
Please remember that all improvements to the exterior of your home, construction of fences, walls, concrete sidewalks and slabs or any improvement to the lot aside from landscaping, needs the approval of the Design Committee. The Design Committee process ensures that your design follows the covenants of the particular product type in which you reside and will blend harmoniously with the existing structure and that of your neighbors. Before you go down to the municipal building to get your building permit, you must have your Royal Kunia design permit.
To get your permit from Royal Kunia, you will need to fill out an application obtained from Hawaiiana Management and submit the applicable fee (see fee schedule on application) . You may also click the following links and print out the checklist and application to be submitted to Hawaiiana Management, along with the applicable fee made payable to Royal Kunia Community Association.
